The name of my magazine, Amplified was chosen to show instantly that this is a music magazine and this is to also show the genre of my magazine. It was also a way for me to link the name with the magazine and give it a feel that this magazine has be "Amplified" or increased in quality.
I tried out a variety of different fonts to get my title to look realistic and address my target audience in a way that it would excite them and make the want to look at it in more detail and this would make them want the magazine in more depth. I tried out Verdana and Times New Roman to see if that would work with the layout of my magazine to give it a modern look yet still has the class that is represented in the suit that is worn in the pictures. I also used Accord Heavy SF , but i thought that it does not fit in with my magazine as it is a very thin font and you cannot see it very clearly and it would need to fill up the screen a bit more in order to attract the readers eye and this font does not.
These three fonts are some of the thinner fonts that i had chosen to try out on my magazine front cover the first is a fairly basic font and looked okay when used with my magazine ,but was not the right as the type of magazine that i want to produce is more contemporary than normal fonts as this is for a certain target audience and a different type of font might bring in a larger market.
The second font is a different type of font, but is very thin and will have to be made very large in order to have an effect on the magazine, however this could look very good if its edited well with the rest of the magazine. The last of these three is similar to the first one but is slightly different and is in a different colour but i don't think the white goes as well as the red with the red on my magazine.
The fourth font is thicker and smoother than the other fonts and might look good on my magazine ,however i would like to give it a more edgy and classier look.
